Living Hope is blessed by volunteers from many different churches, the general public, teenagers, families, you name it . . . from all walks of life and from every part of our community.

Living Hope is one of several non profits partnering together to serve and help the homeless in the Wiregrass Area.  You are invited to serve with us. We are a part of the Homeless Coalition in Dothan and we support every Homeless Stand Down event to assist families and individuals who have no home.

NEWS FROM OUR LIVING HOPE COORDINATOR

Our Annual Thanksgiving Meal will be served to our community on Thanksgiving Day, 2023, starting at 10:30am.  Must be present to receive the meal and first come, first served until we run out.

​

LIVING HOPE WAS VOTED AGENCY OF THE YEAR 2018 . . . by the Association of Service Agencies (50 plus agencies). What an honor - it is all because of you, our donors and volunteers.  Click on the photo to the left for more information.

Now is a great time to volunteer. We appreciate the adults and teenagers who give some of their time to serve those in need.

 

ORGANIZING - as each season rolls around we have to reorganize our clothes closet.  We need volunteers to come and sort, pack, unpack winter to spring clothes, spring to summer, summer to winter.  This is a very important job that takes time and care.  We give out thousands of clothes items every year.  Your help in this would be a great blessing.

VOLUNTEERS - Because of people's schedules we find ourselves having gaps in our volunteer workers which keep us going.  We could not exist to help our community without volunteers.  We welcome teenagers, adults, seniors, church groups, Fort Rucker personnel, businesses to donate employees, those needing community hours are welcome, etc.

 

PARTNER: Then there is always the need of financial support to keep the ministry going.  We are funded entirely through donations from the general public.  We are not underwritten by any church, business, or government funding.

LIVING HOPE NEEDS . . . some suggestions:
Clothing - Larger sizes 1X-4X for Men &  Women, Summer shoes, shirts and pants (especially jeans and shorts) for Men & Women.


Hygiene Items for Men & Women. New Packaged Underwear for Men. Women & Children & Canned Foods for our Donated Shelves.  Make-up for the House of Ruth.


We need help transferring Clothing to Spring/Summer Clothing. If you, and/or your teenagers, can donate any time to your church's outreach ministry for this specific project, we need all the help we can get.
