LIVING HOPE WAS A DREAM - TODAY IT IS A REALITY

 

Taking mission trips to other nations such as India and Africa, the Lord spoke to Lyle Peluso's heart (founder of Living Hope) to go back home to Dothan and do the same.   To have a mission in Dothan where we can help and resource people in practical ways in this life. 

 

5 years ago this dream came to pass.  The Lord gave Lyle Peluso Sr. a vision what the house should look like. After weeks of driving around Dothan looking for this house, he drove past it on his way to the downtown post office, at the corner of Burdeshaw and Lena Streets, Dothan.  

 

This was exactly what the Lord has shown him!  An old Southern Home with a wrap around veranda, warm, welcoming, Old South - just perfect!  And so the dream became reality.

 

Today people come through the house and we bless them with what God blesses us with.  We are totally supported by the general public, freely we have received and freely we give. ​We are staffed with volunteers who are churched, unchurched and people from different walks of life, race, social and economic realms.

 

​Living Hope Center is serving our community with bagged food, 2 lunches per week, clothing, and networking for other needs with other non-profits in Dothan.  GED classes are offered by appointment. Living Hope is open every daily EXCEPT Wednesday and Sunday from 10:00am till 2:00pm. Volunteers are needed and donations welcomed.

LIVING HOPE WAS VOTED THE AGENCY OF THE YEAR IN 2018 BY THE ASSOCIATION OF SERVICE AGENCIES. (52 Agencies are in the ASA)
